Natural gas utilities add mercaptan (a distinctive rotten-egg smell) to help you detect leaks. If you smell gas, evacuate everyone from the house immediately without operating wall switches, phones, or electrical devices that could create an electrical spark. From outside your home in New Mexico, contact your local gas utility and call (877) 719-1221 for emergency gas valve and line inspection.

This symptom is known as short-cycling. The most common culprit is a severely restricted airflow caused by a clogged furnace filter, which traps intense heat inside the cabinet and trips the high-temperature safety switch. Other potential causes include a malfunctioning draft inducer fan, an oversized unit, or a blocked chimney flue exhaust. Our New Mexico technicians can calibrate and clear the system safely.

Scheduling is effortless. Simply call our 24/7 customer service line at (877) 719-1221. We will ask a few quick questions regarding your heating symptoms, provide you with an arrival time window, and connect a certified HVAC heating professional straight to your home in New Mexico.

First, verify that your thermostat is set to "Heat" mode with the setpoint at least 5 degrees above current room temperature. Check that the emergency power switch mounted on or near your furnace is in the "On" position, and inspect your home electrical panel for a tripped heating breaker. If the blower runs but only delivers chilly air, or if you hear repetitive clicking without ignition, call (877) 719-1221 immediately for fast heating assistance in New Mexico.

Yes. The flame sensor sits directly in the burner flame and generates a micro-amp electrical current when heated to prove to the control board that fire is present. Over time, silica and carbon coat the metal rod, preventing flame detection and causing the furnace to shut off its gas valve after 3 to 5 seconds. Cleaning or replacing this sensor is a routine, fast repair for our New Mexico specialists.
