Furnace Repair Services in Greenback, TN

During warm summer months, ambient dust settles onto the furnace burners and heat exchanger surfaces. During the first cold snap, this thin layer of dust burns off, producing a mild, transient burning odor that typically disappears within 30 to 45 minutes. If the smell persists, smells of burning plastic/wiring, or produces visible smoke, shut down the system and call (877) 719-1221 immediately.

Cold air discharge usually points to an extinguished pilot flame, an oxidized flame sensor rod that shuts down the gas valve after a few seconds, an overheated heat exchanger tripping the high-limit switch, or an ignition lock-out. Our certified technicians in Greenback, Tennessee utilize digital multimeters and combustion testers to pinpoint the exact failure point and restore comfortable heat.

Electric furnaces do not use combustible fuel or heat exchangers; instead, they pass high-voltage electric current through heavy-duty nichrome heating elements. Common electric furnace repairs involve replacing broken heating coils, stuck electric sequencers, faulty contactors, or blown thermal fuses. Our technicians in Greenback, Tennessee service both electric and gas heating configurations.
